first two songs were originally recorded for 57stars, but Patrick felt they didnt
seem to fit on the album. They have now been reworked at his new
studio in Salford. Patrick played and sang everything, with the usual
exceptional help from Dave Morgan on drums. The last song is Patrick's cover of the seminal hit "A Forest" by The Cure.
Patrick - "I have such fond memories of their performance on TOTP.
All in black, no smiling, and those amazing drums sounds. This version
cames from idling on the piano at home, trying to remember how the song
went. I subsequently bought 'Seventeen Seconds' on CD, having only had
it on vinyl, and was shocked to hear how fast it was, and those great
synthetic drums still struck me. What an inspired production."
